A strep test shouldn't cost $1,200.

$1,200–2,800
No insurance. ER is not the best place — but it's where people end up when they have no other option.
Urgent care, self-pay
$155–250
Better than the ER. Still expensive if you're paying for a HDHP and haven't hit your deductible.
With this membership
$40 or $20
Same clinic. Same provider. Same care. You pay your membership fee and visit cost-share. That's it.

Common questions

I have health insurance. Why would I want this?
If you have a high-deductible plan, you're paying for your health insurance PLUS full price for urgent care visits until you hit your deductible. This membership provides access to the same providers and services for your monthly membership fee plus $40 or $20 per visit from day one — no matter where you are in your deductible. It can be a cost-effective option that works alongside your insurance, but does not replace it.
Does my insurance still work if I have this membership?
Yes. No claim is ever filed with your insurer for services provided under your membership. Services not included with your membership can be paid for out of pocket at the time of service, or submitted to your insurance for payment.
I have no insurance at all. Can this work on its own?
For covered visits, yes. But this is not health insurance. For example, hospital stays, surgery, and emergency care are not included. This helps with the care you use most often — it is not a complete safety net and it is not a substitute for health insurance.
I have Medicare or Medicaid. Should I sign up?
This membership is designed for people who need affordable access to covered services in person or via telehealth and do not otherwise have access to those services. If you already have comprehensive coverage that includes these services, carefully consider whether an additional membership makes financial sense for your situation before enrolling.

A summary of the terms. Plain language.

Commitment
12 months. You pay monthly but you're committing to a full year. Auto-renews unless you cancel in writing before your renewal date.
First payment
Two months upfront at enrollment. Basic = $108 on day one. Value = $128 on day one. Monthly billing starts after that.
Early cancellation
Not available except as required by law. Remaining balance may be owed. Only enroll if you plan to stay the full year.
Re-enrollment
Yes. You may re-enroll once your account is in good standing and any outstanding balance has been resolved.
Who bills you
Silver Eel Technologies, Inc. (Urgentum) — Fast Pace Health partners with Urgentum to make memberships available; memberships are offered through and billed by Urgentum. You'll see their name in your agreement. That's normal.
Billed separately
Outside lab testing through third-party labs, like LabCorp®, some procedures, non-covered services, DME, vaccinations, and immunizations are not included. These will either be billed at time of service or you will receive a bill directly from the lab or vendor.

Full Terms and Conditions will be provided upon enrollment.
